A HI-FOG sprinkler system has been chosen to protect the Marriott Grand Residence Club at 47 Park Street. Built in the 1920’s, 47 Park Street is an elegant Edwardian building in the heart of Mayfair that is being refurbished to provide Club members a choice of 49 superior apartments.

The age, position, limited space and wealth of fine architectural features in this building make the installation of a fire suppression system particularly challenging. Like many buildings in central London, 47 Park Street has virtually no free space around it to site the large tank and pump house required by a conventional sprinkler system.

The solution provided by Marioff features a HI-FOG GPU (Gas-driven Pump Unit) which operates independently of any mains power or water supply. This is sited in a basement service area along with its 3.2 m3 water storage tank. The small diameter stainless steel distribution pipe and range of discrete high performance discharge heads allows the system to be installed without detracting from the aesthetics and fine decor of each apartment.
