Thriving across borders – What it’s like to work in an international company

At Marioff, international collaboration isn’t just a part of daily life – it defines it. With teams and projects spanning continents, employees learn and grow in an environment where cultural diversity fuels both innovation and connection. This spirit of collaboration comes to life through the experiences of colleagues around the world. Find out how four Marioff professionals perceive what it means to be part of a truly global company.

Learning through cultural diversity

For Amine Benali, Customer Service Coordinator at Marioff France, the value of an international environment lies in constant learning. “Working with people from different cultures encourages open-mindedness,” he says. “I get to learn various working methods from my colleagues abroad and always find new ways to respond to our customers.”

Benali highlights how language skills and exposure to diverse perspectives expand not only professional capabilities but also personal horizons. “You naturally become more adaptable and curious about others. It even helps when negotiating with customers – understanding how people think in different cultures makes a real difference.”

Working in an international company – Collaboration without borders

Cédric Schuchard, BIM Studies Coordinator in France, experiences the benefits of cross-border teamwork daily. “I work on projects together with the design department in Finland,” he explains. “Every conversation brings something new – different ways to solve problems or to see the bigger picture.”

Schuchard’s work in Building Information Modeling requires coordination through shared digital tools and international design platforms. “You learn to communicate clearly across time zones and cultures,” he says. “That makes you more adaptable and open-minded – and that’s real growth.”

During a training period in Finland, Schuchard also discovered how cultural diversity inspires creativity. “It’s amazing how different perspectives make projects more efficient and enjoyable. And I also learned how deeply Finns value nature – all year round.”

Professional and personal growth in a global environment

Víctor Gonçalves González, Solution Engineer in Marioff Spain, describes the experience as both exciting and rewarding. “Working in an international company puts you at the forefront of innovation. The opportunity to travel, meet new colleagues and build friendships adds enormous value.”

Gonçalves González emphasizes that being part of a global team builds confidence and broadens one’s worldview. “You grow by overcoming challenges and adapting to new environments,” he explains. “Different perspectives lead to creative solutions and every day is a chance to learn something new.”

Working internationally, he adds, also strengthens communication skills and flexibility. “You learn to adjust your approach depending on who you’re talking to, and that helps not only professionally but personally as well.”

Understanding the world through an international lens

For Adam Szkutnik, Solution Engineer in the Global Land Business, working internationally has deepened his understanding of people and of the world itself. “Being part of an international team helps you understand other people’s viewpoints – and why things happen the way they do,” he reflects. “I’ve always loved traveling, and working for Marioff has allowed me to visit many remote places. That’s been a big part of my personal growth.”

Szkutnik says he has also learned some lighter lessons along the way. “I learned that stereotypes aren’t always true – and that any time is a good time for a sauna,” he says with a smile.

One global team, many perspectives

Across all stories, one message stands out: at Marioff, diversity is more than a value—it’s a daily practice. Cultural variety, mutual respect and curiosity create a workplace where everyone can contribute, learn and grow. This unites people across disciplines and continents, strengthening both internal teamwork and the company’s ability to serve customers worldwide.

As Amine Benali sums it up: “No matter the country or the job title, everyone is approachable. That humility and teamwork are what make Marioff truly international.”
